Job summary

Alinabal seeks a CNC Setup & Programming Specialist to join our precision machining team. You will set up and run CNC machines, edit programs, and verify that parts meet strict quality standards before inspection.

You will maintain tooling, document results in E2, and pursue setup-time reductions through lean thinking. The role requires strong blueprint reading, experience with CNC programs, and the ability to work to tight schedules while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Five years of relevant CNC machining experience.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
  • Experience creating/editing CNC programs from system files.
  • Proficiency with inspection gauges and metrology tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and setup reduction ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines per travelers, drawings, and specs.
  • Create, edit, retrieve, and execute CNC programs from system files.
  • Manufacture parts to quality requirements; inspect and verify prior to inspection.
  • Meet time and schedule standards while considering cost requirements.
  • Maintain machines, keep clean and at proper fluid levels; return fixtures and tooling after runs.
  • Record job data in E2 management system accurately; document results.
  • Proactively identify setup-reduction opportunities and communicate with the 6S lead.
  • Handle non-CNC work as needed (hand-work, inspections, etc.).

CNC Setup & Programming Specialist (Precision Machining)Reports to: Manufacturing ManagerDepartment: ManufacturingFLSA StatusFLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non ExemptA day in this roleYou arrive to a clean, organized cell, review your traveler and drawing, and load the program you edited yesterday. After dialing in the setup, you run first-piece, verify dimensions, and submit for inspection—confident it will pass because you checked it twice. Between cycles, you update E2 with job details, top off fluid levels, and flag a quick 6S improvement you spotted to reduce setup time on the next run.
