Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a CNC Setup Programmer II to join its manufacturing team in Cerritos, CA. You will own setup programming, tooling, fixturing, and documentation to keep production moving, under the guidance of the Value Stream Manager.

The role requires 4–6 years of CNC operation and programming experience (Mastercam or CAD/CAM), reading blueprints, GD&T, and lean/5S practices. You’ll develop processes, define tools, and generate setup sheets while supporting training and continuous

Job description

Our client is seeking a CNC Setup Programmer II to join their manufacturing team in Cerritos, CA. If you’re a seasoned CNC professional who enjoys turning technical requirements into precise, repeatable production results, this is your chance to own setup programming, tooling, fixturing, and documentation that keep production moving. You’ll work under the general direction of the Value Stream Manager while partnering with leadership and process teams to support training, continuous improvement, and quality-focused execution.

Job Title: CNC Setup Programmer II

Location: Cerritos, CA

Pay Range: $38/hr

Shift: Mon–Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm

What's the Job?

• Create CNC programs and define machining processes to efficiently produce production components.
• Develop work holding and part fixturing to properly secure and align material for machining.
• Define and select cutting tools, attachments, and machine accessories; participate in tooling trials and optimization.
• Retrieve, input, and edit CNC code and support first-article/trial runs to validate accuracy of settings and programmed control data.
• Produce manufacturing production aid documents (machine setup and tooling sheets, work instructions) and troubleshoot out-of-tolerance conditions by adjusting machine controls or CNC programs as required.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 4–6 years of related experience and/or training in CNC operation, including programming using Mastercam or related CAD/CAM software.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Creo/Pro-E, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and/or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to use inspection tools as required.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing and 5S-related performance teams; ability to write clear documentation and forms.
