Job summary

Alexandria Industries in Minnesota is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:30a-2:30p). You will operate CNC machines, set up across multiple machines, and read blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications with precise measurement tools.

You will perform quality inspections, assist with training, troubleshoot issues, and support the shop with tasks from deburring to packing. The role requires 3+ years of experience and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years machine operation
• 3+ years machine setup preferred
• Basic computer skills noted above
• Ability to recognize safety concerns
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and perform tasks safely and according to company policies
• Set up machines across multiple machines, areas within the shop, and/or disciplines
• Read and follow manufacturing orders and blueprints to ensure components meet specifications
• Perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices
• Cross train within the machine shop to learn different machines
• Troubleshoot machine errors and part variances and suggest improvements
• Provide machine shop support including deburring, packing, assembly, punching, bending as needed
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean
