Job summary

Owens Corning in Duncan, SC, seeks a CNC Setup Machinist to set up and run Mazak M4 CNC Lathe, Haas VF-4 CNC Mill, Integrex 30 CNC Lathe, and Mazak SV-20 CNC Mill. You will ensure part quality, perform tool changes, and keep machines running to meet production schedules.

Requirements include 3–5+ years CNC or manual production experience, setup experience, and CNC programming/troubleshooting skills. This is a salary (non-exempt) role reporting to the Operations Leader.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follows all Owens Corning safety policies and procedures.
• Operate the machinery to perform all operation sequences for production.
• Ability to set up each machine to manufacture all parts in the Small Parts family of products.
• Inspect parts, at each sequence, to ensure part quality requirements.
• Maintain part identification throughout the process.
• Must be able to set up and replace broken tools.
• Keep machines running at a level that meets scheduled production demands.
• Enter time and production of all parts produced in Global Shop daily.
• Maintains clean and orderly housekeeping in all assigned areas, following all Owens Corning safety practices.
• Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the Operations Leader and other members of the Leadership Team.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The CNC Setup Machinist is a salary (non-exempt) position, and reports to the Operations Leader. The employee is accountable to set up and run the Mazak M4 CNC Lathe, Haas VF-4 CNC Mill, Integrex 30 CNC Lathe, and the Mazak SV-20 CNC Mill. The operator is responsible for meeting the quality requirements for all parts run on these machines.

Starting pay is $30.51. Currently, this position works a 10-hour day shift, 4am-2pm, Monday through Thursday.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required
• 3-5+ years CNC or manual experience in a production environment, including set-up experience; CNC programming and troubleshooting experience required

• Must be a US citizen
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be drug and alcohol free
