Crane Co. in Marion, North Carolina is seeking a CNC Set Up Operator for 1st shift to set up CNC machines, run TPM, and inspect parts for quality and conformance to blueprints.

You will work onsite, read blueprints, install fixturing, perform tool offsets, and verify measurements with calipers and gauges. Prior Fanuc control experience and CNC exposure are preferred, with Mazak and Okuma experience a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift parts weighing up to 50lbs without assistance; team lift for heavier parts.
  • Ability to read measuring instruments and verify parts against specifications.
  • Forklift/reach truck operation; manual lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills to pull blueprints, enter orders, and load CNC programs.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls.

## CNC Set Up Operator- 1st ShiftApply: Onsite: Marion, North Carolina: Full time: Posted Today: JR102713**Position Summary:** The CNC Set-up operator is responsible for setting-up the CNC machine, manufacturing parts and inspecting manufactured parts. **Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):**· Start CNC machine and perform Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) procedures, adjust as needed.· Select and install appropriate fixturing for the part to be produced, per posted schedule.· Perform tool offsets as needed, adjust as required.· Pull the inspection sheet and blueprint for the part being produced and perform a first piece inspection in accordance with the manufacturing procedures to blueprint required specifications.· Understand tool offsets to ensure part quality and blueprint specification. **Essential Qualifications / Experience:**· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.· Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift.· Must have the ability to read measuring instruments, including but not limited to tape measure, height gauge, angle gauges, and calipers to verify parts are within specification.· Perform material handling functions using forklifts and reach truck.
