Job summary

Elgen Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Service Engineer for our client, a leading manufacturer in Fort Wayne, IN. You will travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot and repair CNC machine tools and controls, including machining centers and lathes, with emphasis on servo and CNC systems.

The role supports home-based work or office-based daily travel with a company vehicle provided. A strong mechanical/electrical background with 5 years of CNC experience and a high school diploma are

Qualifications

• CNC experience and strong mechanical/electrical background.
• 5 years CNC Machine Tools experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot and repair CNC machines.
• Identify and replace parts; test and adjust.
• Communicate with customers to diagnose problems.
• Work independently and maintain an organized workspace.

Job description

Our client, a leading manufacturer in high-precision machine tools, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Service Engineer, to join our winning team in Fort Wayne.

Our candidate of choice will bring CNC experience along with a strong mechanical / electrical background to learn to install, troubleshoot and repair CNC Swiss Lathes, CNC Lathes and Machining Centers.

This includes Servo and Servo and Spindle Drive Systems, CNC Systems, Electronic/Electrical/PLC Systems, Pneumatic/Hydraulic Systems, Mechanical Systems, Measurement and Adjustment of Machine Tool Geometries. You will be home based or report to the office in Warsaw, Indiana for daily travel and overnight travel to customer locations in Indiana and Michigan. You must have a current driver’s license with good driving record. Company vehicle will be provided. Experience operating CNC Machine Tools with Fanuc Controls is recommended but not required. Swiss Turning Experience is considered premium.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot and repair CNC machine tools and controls.
• Identify and replace parts as necessary. Test and make adjustments.
• Communicate with the customer to determine and troubleshoot machine problem.
• Ability & desire to work independently.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Complete all required paperwork and/or data entry in a timely manner.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• High school or equivalent
• CNC Machine Tools: 5 years
• Driver’s License
