Your Day in Indianapolis specializes in bold signage. This role operates CNC routers to produce sign components from acrylic, aluminum, PVC, wood, and composites, loading, securing, and setting up materials, and interpreting drawings.

You will monitor toolpaths, adjust feeds and speeds, perform on-machine programming, and collaborate with fabrication, paint, and assembly to meet schedules. OSHA safety, clean work area, and routine maintenance are essential.

Responsabilités

• Interpret shop drawings, production files, and cut sheets to execute work accurately.

• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, clean edges, and overall finish.
• Troubleshoot defects; correct issues or escalate to the production supervisor.
• Maintain consistent standards across runs and materials.
• Coordinate with fabrication, paint, and assembly to keep workflow moving smoothly.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep the work area orderly and clean.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures; manage dust collection and waste properly.

Your Day, Building Bold SignageYou clock in, scan the production board, and pull sheets of acrylic, aluminum, PVC, wood, or composite to match the next run. You load and secure material, set your zeros, and review shop drawings and cut lists. As the router hums, you fine-tune feeds, speeds, and tooling to keep parts crisp and accurate. Throughout the shift, you coordinate with fabrication, paint, and assembly so routed components arrive on time and ready for the next process.Core ResponsibilitiesCNC / Router OperationsOperate CNC routers and related cutting equipment to produce precision sign components.Load, set up, and secure a range of materials: acrylic, aluminum, PVC, wood, and composites.Interpret shop drawings, production files, and cut sheets to execute work accurately.Monitor machine performance; adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling for quality and throughput.File Prep & ProgrammingImport and prep design files from Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Flexi, EnRoute, or comparable software.Validate toolpaths, nesting, and material yield prior to production.Perform basic on-machine programming and make setup adjustments as needed.Quality AssuranceInspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, clean edges, and overall finish.Troubleshoot defects; correct issues or escalate to the production supervisor.Maintain consistent standards across runs and materials.Production SupportPartner closely with fabrication, paint, and assembly to keep work moving smoothly.Assist with material handling and organize workflow for efficiency.Hit production schedules and deadlines reliably.Equipment Care & SafetyHandle routine maintenance: bit changes, cleaning, and lubrication.Keep the work area orderly and clean.Follow OSHA and company safety procedures; manage dust collection and waste properly.What You BringHands-on experience operating CNC routers (sign industry background a plus).Ability to read and apply technical drawings and production layouts.Familiarity with sign materials and fabrication techniques.Solid computer skills and organized file management.Sharp attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.Comfort lifting 50+ lbs and working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.Preferred ExtrasExperience with MultiCam, AXYZ, ShopSabre, Laguna, CamMaster, or similar CNC platforms.Knowledge of cutter selection and routing strategies.Sign fabrication experience (channel letters, cabinets, ADA signage, dimensional letters).Forklift experience.Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts or production workflows.Work EnvironmentManufacturing/fabrication shop setting with production equipment.Exposure to dust and noise.Standing for extended periods.How We Measure SuccessHigh production accuracy and reduced scrap.On-time delivery of routed parts to downstream teams.Strong machine uptime and adherence to maintenance routines.Consistently excellent finish quality.Effective collaboration and smooth workflow handoffs.Compensation & BenefitsWe offer competitive salary, medical, life insurance, 401K, and vacation PTO.
