Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a skilled CNC grinder operator in Beaver County, Ambridge. The role involves setting up grinders from drawings, selecting tools, and performing finish grinding on roll bodies.

You will measure pieces with micrometers and calipers, unload with overhead crane, and keep your area clean while reporting issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to run CNC and manual controls.

• Good blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC grinder from drawings and select proper tools.
• Make all necessary fin adjustments and operate finish grinding.
• Use measuring instruments to check size and finish.
• Unload finished pieces using a floor-operated overhead crane.
• Change water and remove grindings; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Report defective materials or faulty equipment to the supervisor.
• Lubricate equipment and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

The Role

• Sets up CNC grinder from drawings.
• Selects proper tools.
• Makes all necessary fin adjustments.
• Operates grinder in the finish grinding operation of roll bodies.
• Uses measuring instruments to check pieces as required for size or finish.
• Unloads finished pieces with the aid of a floor operated overhead crane.
• Change water and removes grindings as required.
• Performs minor repairs or assists in major repairs as necessary.
• Reports defective materials or faulty equipment to the supervisor.
• Lubricates equipment and maintains machine and area in a clean and orderly manner.
