Sargent Metal Fabricators is seeking a CNC Punch Operator to set up, operate, and maintain Trumpf CNC punch equipment, ensuring parts meet customer specifications. The role emphasizes production flow, precision, and shop-floor safety.

The operator will read blueprints, inspect parts with precision tools, and may lead a team to achieve daily output targets while following OSHA and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC punch equipment (Trumpf experience preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Trumpf CNC punch machines according to production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate part fabrication.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on punch equipment.
• Use calipers, tapes, gauges to verify part quality.
• Build punch tooling for jobs as needed.
• Safely unload and handle parts after cutting operations.
• Occasionally operate a forklift to move materials.
• Lead and support a team of production employees to meet daily output goals.
