Custom Engineering Company in Erie, PA is seeking a CNC Programmer/Set Up Technician/Machinist for 1st shift. You will program, set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to blueprints and tolerances.

Qualifications

• Set-up, operate, and program CNC machines, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC machinery to fabricate parts per drawings and tolerances.
• Read blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and specifications to determine dimensions and setup requirements.
• Select, align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Calculate and set controls for speed, feed, and depth; adjust tooling and sequences as needed.
• Inspect parts for conformance and maintain safe operating procedures.
