Job summary

Perigee Manufacturing Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and prove out Miyano lathes and related CNC equipment in Detroit, MI.

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years operating CNC Lathes & Mills and 5 years programming and setting up CNC machinery, including Miyano lathes. CAM experience is a plus; strong knowledge of G & M codes, ability to select and touch off tools, and precise measurement with calipers and micrometers are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years operating CNC Lathes & Mills.
• Minimum 5 years programming and setting up CNC Lathes & Mills.
• Minimum 3 years programming Miyano CNC Lathes.
• CAM experience is beneficial.
• Excellent working knowledge of CNC programming (G & M codes).
• Able to select, change, set, and touch off tools.
• Strong ability to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gages).
• Must be quality conscious.
• Follow specific work, process, safety instructions and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and team mentality.
• Exhibit strong work ethic and attendance record.
• Maintain organized/clean work area.
• Physically able to perform duties; lift 50#.
