Job summary

Litens Machine Shop in Canada is seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator to manufacture tooling and prototype components on CNC mills and lathes, following blueprints and instructions.

The role requires at least three years of CNC experience, proficiency with Delcam and SolidWorks CAD/CAM, and the ability to read blueprints. You must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work varying shifts in a collaborative shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Minimum three years of CNC programming and machining experience.
• CAD/CAM software experience (Delcam and SolidWorks) is an asset.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform own setups.
• Strong math skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• Shift flexibility may be required.

What will you do?

• Manufacture tooling and prototype components as directed by blueprint or instructions using CNC equipment.
• Verify that tooling and prototype components are to blueprint specifications.
• Takes all required safety precautions when working; advises people nearby of same.

What will you bring?

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience programming and operating CNC Mills and / or Lathes.
• CAD/CAM (Delcam and SolidWorks software) experience would be an asset.
• Must be able to do own set-ups and read blueprints.
• Must have excellent mathematical skills.
• Able to fulfill physical requirements as required.
• Repetitive lifting of components/tools up to 40 pounds.
• May be required to work different shifts.

Additional information:

• Compensation: $30 - $38 per hour
