Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma with CAD/blueprint reading/CNC programming training.
• 5–7 years machine shop experience with at least 4 years hands-on machining and 3 years CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of CAM and machining processes.
• Proficiency with CAM software such as SmartCAM and related CAD tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and modify CNC programs and tooling plans.
• Maintain CNC program revision levels and ensure access for production staff.
• Plan and execute engineering projects, evaluate results, and implement improvements.
• Evaluate tooling and processes for modification or replacement.
• Identify and procure new tooling as needed.
• Analyze operating costs and drive cost-improvement initiatives.
• Develop technical training for employees and provide engineering support.
