Job description

Develops programs for fabricating parts on numerical control multi‐axis machines (Mills and Lathes) using CAM software. Prepares CNC programs according to drawing specifications, manual programs and/or other instructions. Works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel.

Essential Job Functions

1. Analyzes job orders, drawings, blueprints and other data and then performs all the necessary calculations for programming.
2. Programs jobs and performs complex set ups.
3. Translates instructions into a computer aided/automated manufacturing program.
4. Revises or updates programs to reflect shop, engineering or program changes.
5. Prepares instructions for machine setup and operation.
