Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks Level Two CNC Programm ers to set up and program CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines. You will read blueprints, adjust settings, and collaborate with machinists to achieve accurate parts.

Qualifications

  • 7+ year minimum experience in industry or related field.
  • High school diploma or GED required; CNC certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, shop math and blueprint interpretation recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Use software to write and test cutting paths and program CNC machines.
  • Adjust tool paths/settings to optimize production while ensuring quality.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to select tools and set machines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues as they arise.
  • Train operators on machine operation and setup.
  • Load and verify programming and setup files.

Job description

Level TwoCNC Programmerswill perform a variety of duties to include set up in the operation of computer numerical control type of machine tools such as CNC mills, lathes, Makino mills, Swiss turning centers,etc. A strong understanding of speeds/feeds of tools and their effects on manufacturing cycle times with various metals is needed. Programmersare responsible forreading and interpreting design blueprints, programming the machines, adjusting the machine settings for desired specifications, and working closelywith operators andsetupmachinistof all levels.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use computer software towrite and testcutting paths and programCNCmachines accordingly
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings tooptimizeproduction whilemaintainingquality
  • Partners with Manufacturing Engineers todeterminetoolsrequiredto cutmaterialsand program machines accordingly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with programs as they arise
  • Partners with CNC Machinists for programming needs
  • Loads and checks programming and setup
  • Train other employees on operation and set up of machinesas necessary

Mathematical Skills:

Proficient in basic algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. Abilityto calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge ofadvancedcomputer use.Applicantshould be familiar withCNCmachining methods.

Required Experience:

7+ year minimum experience in industry or related field.

Level of Education:

High school diploma/GED equivalentrequired. CNC Machining,BlueprintReading, GD&T, Shop Math certifications preferred.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $35.00 to $40.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.

  • For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter.
  • Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year.
  • Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
  • Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
  • Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
