Job summary

Greenheck Group is seeking a CNC Programmer to create and optimize computer programs for CNC machinery across water jet, laser, plasma, and punching equipment. You will collaborate with peers to ensure consistent practices, troubleshoot machines, and adjust programs for design and tooling changes.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in CNC programming or 2–4 years for II level, with a high school diploma or GED and a related technical background.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant work experience in CNC programming required.
• High school or GED required.
• Vocational/technical in Machine Tool Technology or a related field of study preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily CNC programs for production equipment (water jet, laser, plasma cutters, turret punch presses, press brakes, machine centers, and panel benders).
• Coordinate efforts with other CNC programmers and external resources to identify best practices and maintain programming consistency.
• Proficiency on CNC equipment to troubleshoot; modify nest status in ERP system.
• Ensure inventory is being used effectively.
• Adjust existing programs to accommodate product redesigns, tooling changes, and production changes.
• Participate on teams focused on productivity, schedule attainment, and material utilization.
• Use ERP systems to review and adjust changes in parts requirements.
• Identify material modifications to respond to changes in product or program changes.
• Identify, justify, and implement changes to sustain continuous improvements.
• Maintain CNC programming training materials.
• Act as SAP subject matter expert and assist other CNC programmers with drawings and supporting software.
• Make recommendations on raw material based on production needs and equipment functionality.
