Job summary

groninger in Charlotte, NC seeks a skilled CNC programmer to create CAM programs for 3- and 5-axis milling, read blueprints, and apply GD&T. You will optimize tooling, collaborate with engineering, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances in a temperature-controlled plant.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in CAD/CAM in manufacturing, HS diploma or GED, and experience with Esprit software. This role offers growth and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior knowledge of Esprit software is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years CAD/CAM experience programming in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret metric drawings and GD&T.
• Adapt easily to changing work environments and multi-task.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline orientation.

Responsibilities

• Creates drawings and CAM programs using Esprit Edge software for 3 and 5 axis milling machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, and specifications.
• Apply GD&T to the programming process.
• Create CAM programming for various CNC milling centers.
• Report information affecting parts quality or production to engineering and management.
• Optimize tooling and cutting parameters based on material and setup.
• Collaborate with production team to improve quality and skills.
• Determine cutting paths and how automated equipment will cut parts.
• Operate manual and computer-controlled machinery.
• Work with close tolerances (0.01 mm).
• Support company goals and values.
