CNC Programmer and Set Up Operator Overview

This role involves programming CNC machines and being able to work independently in a production environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving machine, program, or tooling issues, maintaining accurate records, and implementing process improvements for efficiency and quality.

CNC Programmer and Set Up Operator $35–$40/hour (Eden Prairie, MN)

Shift

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in CNC programming and setup in a production environment.
• Deep experience with CNC machines (specifically Ganesh and Genturn).
• Proven experience with Mitsubishi M80 control and Syntec control systems.
• Experience using Esprit CAM Software for post-processing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, speeds & feeds, materials, and cutting tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, troubleshooting ability, and sharp attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming & Setup: Program, set up, and operate CNC machines independently in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machine, program, or tooling issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate setup sheets, tooling lists, and machine program records.
