Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Program 2D/3D CNC machines using MasterCam.
• Create/modify tooling designs in SolidWorks.
• Review drawings to determine cutting methods, tools and steps.
• Generate cutting programs from CAD files.
• Ensure part accuracy and meet production deadlines.
• Improve cycles and setups.
• Collaborate with engineering on DFM.
• Maintain machines and troubleshoot issues.
• Inspect finished parts with calibrated tools.
• Support scheduling and CNC production performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Program 2D and 3D CNC machines using MasterCam CAM software
• Create and modify tooling designs using SolidWorks CAD software.
• Review drawings and specifications to determine cutting methods, tools, materials, and production steps
• Generate cutting programs from CAD files
• Perform machining operations ensuring part accuracy and meeting production deadlines.
• Problem solve to decrease cycle times and improve setups
• Consult with engineering on design for manufacturing
• Stay up-to-date with new machining techniques and equipment
• Safely run and maintain machines, troubleshoot issues, and assist in machine maintenance
• Inspect finished pieces with calibrated measuring tools
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Contribute to CNC production performance and assist with scheduling

What You’ll Bring:

• High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years’ experience as a machinist, with CAM programming and troubleshooting
• 1+ years of MasterCam experience (or willingness to learn quickly)
• Trade school certificate or degree in CNC machining and programming (preferred)
