Job summary

Hfimfg is seeking an experienced press brake operator/setup in the Forming Department. You will read blueprints, prepare layouts, and set up machines for efficient sheet metal forming in West Chicago.

Responsibilities include fabricating parts, nesting materials, and generating precise NC programs while adhering to ISO 9001 standards. The role is full-time with first and second shifts available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with CNC lasers and turret punching.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints.
• 2D CAD/AP100VS and Fabriwin; 3D modeling with SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate sheet metal parts using CNC lasers and turret punching.
• Create flat pattern layouts and developments of formed parts.
• Nest sheets based on material requirements and generate machine code for laser cutting.
• Provide drawings, layouts, and material nesting for shop work orders.

Job description

Works with the necessary information and documentation to fabricate sheet metal parts. Provides Fab Shop necessary drawings, layout developments, material nesting’s, and CNC code to produce Shop work orders. Includes flat pattern layouts and developments of formed parts, nests sheets based on material requirements for fabrication, and the machine code to laser cut and punch parts.

• 2 or more years’ experience with computer numerical controlled lasers, turret punching, etc.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints
• Drawing capabilities in 2D CAD AP100VS / Fabriwin, 3D modeling capabilities or Solidworks.
• Nesting capabilities in Cam software: DiamondSoft
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience in sheet metal layout, including the ability to create patters for Cones, square to rounds, and transition.
• Understanding of ISO9001
