Job summary

Dwyer Instruments Inc. in Grandview, MO is seeking a CNC Programmer who will develop new CNC programs, design tooling, and create machining processes.

The role requires leadership, expert programming across machine platforms (Horizontal Mills, Vertical Mills, Sub-Spindle Lathes), and a mindset of continuous improvement in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will report to the Plant Manager and help drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Must have sufficient experience and training in machine shop practices.
• Expertise in machine programming, set-up, and operation of both manual and CNC equipment
• Extensive knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, 2D and 3D models.
• Experience as a leader and proven ability to effectively lead individuals and teams.
• Expertise and experience running, setting up and programming multiple machine platform types (Horizontal Mills, Vertical Mills, Sub-Spindle Lathes)
• Must display and maintain a positive attitude.
• Must have a continuous improvement mindset and be able to present and implement positive change

Description

The CNC Programmer located in Grandview, MO reports to our Plant Manager and is responsible for developing new CNC programs, designing tooling and creating machining processes. The role is seen as a leader and the subject matter expert in the area of metal machining. These functions are performed in a fast paced manufacturing environment that produces existing and new products.

Requirements

Required Skills / Experience / Equipment Operation:

Working Conditions:

Work environment is very fast paced. Work is primarily conducted on the shop floor.
