Job summary

Pathfinder Manufacturing in Everett, WA seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to join our precision manufacturing team. You will develop and optimize HAAS CNC programs using CATIA, Mastercam, and other CAM software for aerospace components and tight tolerances.

You will interpret drawings, GD&T, and 3D models, select tooling and machining strategies, run simulations, perform first article inspections, and collaborate with machinists and quality to improve processes while maintaining thorough

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • 2–5 years CNC programming experience, preferably on HAAS machines.
  • Proficiency in CATIA for 3D modeling and NC programming.
  • Experience with Mastercam and other CAM/post-processing software.
  • Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and HAAS controllers.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and dimensional data.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and 3D models.
  • Create and modify CNC programs using CATIA, Mastercam, and other CAM software for vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis machining centers.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, fixtures, and machining strategies based on material and design specifications.
  • Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect and correct potential collisions or errors before production.
  • Perform test runs and first-article inspections to validate program accuracy and part conformance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in programming and machining processes (3-axis, 4-axis mills, and lathes).
  • Support machine setup and prove-out activities on the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with machinists, planners, and quality control to improve workflows and reduce cycle times.
  • Maintain organized documentation of programs, revisions, and setup instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience programming HAAS CNC machines using CATIA, Mastercam, and other CAM software.
