Job summary

Torus is seeking a Press Brake Operator for its GigaOne Salt Lake City facility. You will set up, operate, and optimize automated fabrication equipment including panel benders and press brakes, with emphasis on precision and quality in sheet metal parts.

Candidate should have 1–5+ years in CNC metal fabrication, strong blueprint reading skills, and a solid safety record. Onsite, day shift, DOE pay range with benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years in CNC setup, operation, and troubleshooting in precision metal fabrication.
• Proficient reading of structural drawings, welding symbols, and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal properties, bend allowances, and measurement tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine error codes or material defects.
• Commitment to strict safety standards (PPE and lock-out/tag-out).

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, program, and operate CNC sheet metal fabrication equipment (panel benders, press brakes).
• Interpret complex drawings and layouts to produce accurate parts.
• Monitor and adjust cutting/bending parameters; troubleshoot variances.
• Perform dimensional checks with calipers, micrometers, and protractors to ensure tolerances.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and safety.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize yields and improvements.
