Job summary

Onward Search seeks operators for 1st and 2nd shift precision production setup on mills and lathes in a Wisconsin on-site facility. This temp-to-perm role emphasizes high-precision machining, safety, and teamwork within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with machine setups on mills and lathes preferred; entry-level considered based on shift.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills helpful for reporting and documentation tasks.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and handling repetitive movements.
• Good vision and tolerance for color vision impairment; moderate hearing loss acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine parts and manage materials per manufacturing and quality protocols.
• Set up and run production on mills and lathes according to schedules and instructions.
• Perform cleaning, deburring, and packaging of parts per detailed job instructions.
• Record accurate part counts, in-process quality checks, and maintain production documentation.
• Conduct or identify the need for machine maintenance and keep workspaces safe and organized.
