Job summary

Unified Defense is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to safely run cutting equipment, prepare materials, and verify quality per drawings and programs. The role emphasizes meticulous measurement, adherence to procedures, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in Byron, GA, with weekend-style Fri-Sun shifts.

You will handle plasma, shear, and bandsaw cutting, ensure proper material alignment, and report any discrepancies to supervision while following established processes and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Must pass a tape measure test.
• Prior basic manufacturing/shop experience preferred.
• Strong focus on safety, accuracy and quality.
• Able to operate CNC cutting equipment following training.
• Willing to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned CNC cutting equipment (Plasma, Shear, Bandsaw).
• Prepare, load, and align materials prior to cutting operations.
• Follow instructions, programs, and drawings to complete cuts.
• Adjust machine settings for material size and thickness.
• Measure and verify cut dimensions with measuring tools.
• Identify material defects before and after cutting.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Dispose of scrap materials and maintain a clean area.
• Communicate equipment issues, quality concerns, or material discrepancies to supervision.

Byron, GA/ Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:30pm

WhatYou’llDo:
