Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator in Newton, IA. You will set up and operate machines, read blueprints, and verify dimensional requirements while handling plate material.

The role includes using a mag lift, burn table, and performing painting and finishing steps with a focus on safety and quality. Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience, be able to read a tape measure, and communicate fluently in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing or CNC operations.
• Ability to read blueprints and measurement scales.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to operate a lift up to 30,000 pounds and a production overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines per blueprints.
• Inspect plate for defects and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Operate burn table to cut plate according to blueprints and measurements.
• Operate mag lift to transfer plate within the department.
• Blast and paint plate.
• Follow all safety rules and participate in safety initiatives.
• Train new or existing team members.
• Troubleshoot programming faults and maintain quality.
• Assist in meeting deadlines and improve processes.
