MicroAire Surgical Instruments LLC is seeking a CNC Operator & Metal Finisher to run CNC tools, polish and deburr components, and prepare parts for assembly. You will ensure parts meet engineering specifications, maintain records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The CNC Operator & Metal Finisher will primarily run the CNC (Computer Numerical Controls) machine tools by inventory tracking raw materials and loading proper raw stock into stock feeder and This role is responsible for ensuring quality by observing for malfunctions. This individual will polish and de-bur machined parts by hand and with power tools to prepare them for the next step in the finishing process.
The CNC Operator & Metal Finisher is responsible for operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment and performing metal finishing activities to support the production of high-quality medical devices and components. This position ensures the efficient operation of CNC machines by loading appropriate raw materials, monitoring machine performance, maintaining production documentation, and performing required inspections. This role is responsible for producing components that meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and production schedules while adhering to all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The CNC Operator & Metal Finisher performs polishing, deburring, and finishing operations to ensure components are ready for subsequent manufacturing processes and final product assembly. The position contributes to operational excellence by supporting continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining an organized and safe work environment, and promoting MicroAire's commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Pursuing technical training such as machining certification, vocational education, Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Machining, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience 0-3 years of CNC machining, metal finishing, manufacturing, or related production experience required. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Works primarily in a manufacturing machine shop environment, including CNC machining and polishing/finishing areas. Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment, machine tools, sharp components, cutting fluids, and manufacturing equipment. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, squat, and reach throughout the workday. Must be able to traverse manufacturing facilities and access storage locations, machines, and workstations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a regular basis. Required to wear designated PPE, including approved eye protection and other equipment as required by work area. May be required to participate in the Hearing Conservation Program and associated testing. Must wear closed-toe footwear and comply with all manufacturing area safety requirements. Hepatitis B vaccination offered; documentation of vaccination or signed declination required. All required training is documented and maintained through the MicroAire Training Management System and must be completed as required.
Full-time, non-exempt position. Standard production schedule aligned with business needs. Typical schedule: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. Occasional overtime may be required to support customer demand, production schedules, inventory requirements, or business needs. Must maintain compliance with all company quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Must successfully complete and maintain all required training and certifications. Must maintain reliable attendance and adherence to established work schedules. Expected to actively support continuous improvement efforts, 5S initiatives, manufacturing excellence programs, and process changes designed to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
Pay Range: $18-25/hr After receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
