Job summary

FOX Factory, Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to load, unload and inspect machined parts. You will ensure quality by maintaining tight dimensional tolerances and performing deburring, polishing and cleaning at the machine, under supervision.

The role requires reading prints, basic math, and operating lathes and mills with attention to scrap rates and efficiency. A strong safety mindset and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with CNC controls/instrumentation.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read basic dimensions and prints.

Operator will be responsible for the quality of the parts being produced and for achieving production standards. This position requires de-burring, polishing, and cleaning parts at the machine on some work.Position Responsibilities:This position requires de-burring, polishing, and cleaning parts at the machine on some work.Operates CNC machines with routine supervision.Performs basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals.Maintains dimensional tolerances between ±.0003”-.005” or greater.Interprets basic dimensions on a print.Utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, etc.Loads, unloads, and inspects parts being machined while maintaining published PPH.Operates a minimum of 1 bar feed lathe, or a Mill along with performing secondary operations.Maintains accurate part counts, fills out Box Tags, and Job/Quantity Tracker.Reports and asks supervisor/lead for assistance with any machining problems.Follows documented operator procedures such as inspection check sheets and posted operator notesMaintains a clean work area and observes all safety proceduresCan execute machine offsets and insert changes with direction of supervisor or lead-person.Produces parts with less than 2% scrap rate on a consistent basis.Operates a variety of Lathes and Mills, along with secondary operations with routine supervision.Operates a minimum of 2 bar feed Lathes simultaneously.Other duties as needed.Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:Good working knowledge of CNC functional and technical skills, controls and instrumentationEffective time management and organizational skills.Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking.Excellent verbal communications skillsFocus on quality.Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.Position Qualifications:Education:HS graduate or equivalentExperience:2+ years of experience working with controls and instrumentation, equipment maintenance requiredExperience in manufacturing or manufacturing quality environment preferred.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:Manufacturing EnvironmentLift up to 50 lbs. regularlyRequires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of timeVision abilities required to validate and enter data on computerDisclaimer : This list does not represent all physical demands.
