Fisher Barton Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator 2 for 1st shift in Sun Prairie, WI. The role involves operating, setting up, adjusting, programming, and troubleshooting CNC machines in a fast-paced environment to ensure optimal machine performance and quality.

You will read blueprints, gauge parts, and maintain equipment with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. Strong math and measurement skills, plus basic computer literacy, are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of previous CNC Operator experience or successful performance as a Fisher Barton CNC Operator Level 1.
• Able to use measurement instruments such as caliper, height gauge, micrometer.
• Basic Math skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Gauge parts and read blueprints.
• Recognize when an insert/product goes out of tolerance, stop process, and change inserts.
• Follow check sheets and use measurement instruments to verify parts to customer specs.
• Machine parts to print.
• Load feed mechanism and change inserts when necessary.
• Cross train other team members on CNC machine operations.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and keeping gears with way lubricant.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and escalate as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area.
• Collect and remove recyclable chips and shavings and transport to reclaiming area.
• Maintain all documentation as required.
