Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills (vertical and horizontal).
• Inspect finished products for quality against specs.
• Produce and detail quartz parts to specifications.
• Follow process procedures, work orders, drawings, and production docs.
• Verify conformance and calibrate equipment with inspection tools.
• Perform waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, or cleaning as required.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Keep a safe, organized, clean work area.
• Monitor and adjust production processes for quality and productivity.

As the CNC Operator II you will set up and operate CNC machines, inspect products to ensure quality, and maintain equipment.

What you’ll do at Tosoh Quartz

• Set up and operate CNC machines including vertical and horizontal CNC mills.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
• Produce and detail various‑sized quartz (glass) parts to conform to specifications.
• Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings and other production documents.
• Verify part or process conformance to specification, calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production with approved inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages and comparators.
• Perform detail work, which may include waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, or other cleaning, cosmetic inspection of parts and other similar functions.
• Maintain equipment. Detect and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance as directed.
• Maintain a safe, organized and clean work area.
• Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and following detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail. Ability to see small details, finish variations, and defects.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Experience using precision measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of Machine Mathematics.
