Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator for 2nd shift (2pm–10:30pm). You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality parts per specifications, prepare machines, monitor production, and inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

You will read blueprints, load materials, perform test runs, adjust settings, and maintain accurate logs. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (trade school preferred), CNC experience, and proficiency with

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certificate or diploma from a trade school is preferred.
• Experience operating CNC machinery.
• Proficiency with calipers and precision measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Job Overview

The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. Operators will prepare machines, monitor production, and inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

• Preparing and operating CNC machines for tasks such as drilling and milling
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Loading raw materials and parts onto machines
• Performing test runs and adjusting settings to meet specifications
• Monitoring machine operations and adjusting for optimal results
• Inspecting and measuring finished products for accuracy and quality
• Performing routine maintenance and daily checks on equipment
• Maintaining accurate job logs, routers, and related documentation
• Keeping work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety standards
• Supporting team scheduling, training, and workflow coordination as needed
