Job summary

GS Precision Inc in Keene, New Hampshire is seeking a CNC Operator for the 2nd shift. You will operate machines, make tool offset adjustments, and inspect produced parts to ensure tolerances and specifications are met. The role requires blueprint reading and the ability to handle multiple machines safely.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3 months to 1 year of machining experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret measurements.
  • Capable of operating multiple machines and maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines assigned after setup by supervisor or lead person.
  • Make adjustments to tools/offsets to meet tolerances.
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, verniers, gauges.
  • Report problems and své adjustments promptly to supervision.
  • Maintain accurate production records and neat work area.
  • Adhere to all safety and housekeeping policies.
  • Work with team across shifts and departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:15pm - 11:45pm

  • Operate Machines assigned after set-up by area supervisor, Lead person or Set-up Person.
  • Make adjustments (e.g change tool offsets) as allowed to produce parts in accordance with tolerances and specifications as called for on production sketches.
  • Inspect parts as produced to assure compliance with requirements using micrometers, verniers, gages, fixtures and/or other measuring equipment.
  • Recognize and report need for adjustments and toll sharpening.
  • Report any problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances immediately to supervision.
  • Responsible for exercising good machine practices at all times.
  • Responsible for production, both quality and quantity.
  • Maintain accurate production cards, records or other data as required.
  • Maintain area, equipment and tools in neat, orderly condition.
  • Observe all company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.
  • Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Perform other duties as required, assigned or directed.

Job Specifications:

  • High School or GED preferred
  • 3 months - 1 year or more of experience
  • Machining experienced preferred but not required
  • Capacity to understand measurement and inspection devices
  • Able to interpret blue prints
  • Understand part placement to achieve optimum efficiency
