Job summary

Diamondback America is seeking a CNC Operator 1st Shift Lead to oversee all CNC production operations, ensuring safety, quality, timely delivery, and productivity. Leads build morale and foster a positive work environment for all employees.

The role requires extensive CNC experience, reading blueprints, machine setup, and supervisory capabilities, with a 1st shift schedule and potential Friday OT as needed. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years operating, loading, and unloading fixtures on CNC machines.
• 3+ years reading blueprints and drawings.
• 3+ years running CNC horizontal and/or vertical machines.
• 3+ years of experience with hand tools and CNC machines.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of machine set-up.
• At least 1 year of changing tool and work offsets to dial-in parts.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and evaluate CNC production employees.
• Train and cross-train all team members on necessary processes, procedures, and tasks within their area.
• Ensure scheduled shift work is carried out.
• Attend production meetings.
• Monitor production and throughput.
• Ensure that all production, quality forms, and schedule updates are completed.
• Monitor employee attendance and shift goals.
• Set up CNC machines from start to finish.
• Perform quality checks throughout the CNC process.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules, and provide corrective action as needed.
• Provide communication to other shift leads and production managers each shift change.
• Coach and assist all employees with problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Enforce general housekeeping and cleanliness of machines and work areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB TITLE: CNC Operator 1st Shift Lead

JOB SUMMARY

The CNC Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing all production operations within CNC. The CNC Lead is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and production efficiencies to meet the standards and expectations of customers. Leads are also morale builders and are responsible for creating a positive work environment for all employees.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in fully operating, loading, and unloading fixtures on CNC machines
• 3+ years of experience reading blueprints and drawings
• 3+ years of experience running CNC Horizontal and/or Vertical machines
• 3+ years of experience with hand tools and CNC machines required
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• At least 1 year of experience of machine set-up
• At least 1 year of experience changing tool and work offsets to dial-in parts
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

HOURS

• 1st shift
• Monday through Thursday, 4:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
• Friday OT if needed

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
