Qualifications
Knowledge of calipers, gauges, and other required measuring tools.
Strong proficiency in basic math.
Ability to accurately document machining procedures.
Familiarity with metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling.
Experience with Okuma, Mazak, and Mori lathe machines preferred.
Basic oral communication skills and ability to read, comprehend, and complete logs and reports in English.
Ability to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.
Availability to work scheduled hours and adhere to all company policies.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment and stand for an entire shift.
Strong understanding of machining practices, materials, and general mechanical principles.
Eagerness to be trained and desire to learn new skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC Lathe and Mill machines.
Optimize setup times and maintain machine utilization.
Read and understand blueprints and route instructions.
Apply expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments.
Follow in-process part inspection protocols.
Coordinate with various staff to resolve quality concerns.
Work safely and wear required PPE.
Record and document issues for shift transition.
Perform daily maintenance checks.
