Cerro Fabricated Products, Inc. is hiring a CNC Operator for the 3pm-11pm shift in Weyers Cave, VA. The role involves machining aluminum and brass forging into finished products, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting efficient production processes.

Qualified applicants will have experience with CNC lathes and mills, basic math, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and a collaborative team approach. Pay starts at $18.50 per hour with shift differential, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic math proficiency is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
• Demonstrated ability to work with others as part of a team is essential.
• Previous CNC or machining experience is a plus.
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Machine forging into finished products.
• Maintain run efficiencies and quality standards for each machine.
• Communicate to supervisor any health, safety, quality, or efficiency issues.
• Meet customer specifications.
• Work on multiple CNC lathes and mills.
• Follow company procedures and policies.
• Assist other operators.

• Attach labels and tags to products.
• Pack finished products into correct totes.
• Track production through GEMBA and data collection.
• Notify supervisor of mechanical or material issues.

Shift: 3pm-11pm

Pay: $18.50+ per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential

The CNC Operator performs all tasks involved in the machining of aluminum and brass forging into finished products. CNC Operator will follow and maintain quality standards throughout the process as well as maintain standard work practices and safe work habits to ensure production is run efficiently and safely as possible.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Machine forging into finished products.
• Maintain run efficiencies and quality standards for each machine.
• Promptly communicates to the supervisor any issues concerning health, safety, quality and efficiencies.
• Meets the quality standards required by customer specifications.
• Ability to work on multiple CNC lathes and mills.
• Follow company procedures and policies.
• Assist other operators.
• Communicate production operations written and verbal.
• Attaches appropriate labels and tags to products.
• Packs finished products into correct totes.
• Tracks production through the GEMBA process and data collection system.
• Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issue.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Previous CNC or machining experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
