Job Description

The CNC Machine Operator (HAAS) is a member of the operations team responsible for satisfying customer requirements related to quality and delivery. The primary duty is to operate CNC machining centers safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include operating CNC machining centers according to industry standards, which involves program editing, tooling setup, and machine setup. Additional duties include secondary deburring and packaging of finished parts, as well as moving products to designated locations using equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks. Company forklift training is provided. The role involves working with newer HAAS machining centers equipped with integrated probing and network communications. Part sizes handled range from less than 1/4 lb to 2000 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience operating CNC milling centers in a heavy manufacturing environment, with experience handling large parts, and a 2-year technical degree in machining.
  • Ability to edit programs and adjust fixtures, cutter compensation, tool offsets, RPM, feed rates, and program details such as X-Y-Z locations.
  • Understanding of optimizing CNC programs as needed.
  • Intermediate knowledge of HAAS controls.
