Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC lathe operator to set up, run, and maintain lathes producing precision plastic components in Phoenix, AZ. You will interpret drawings, apply GD&T, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining a safe workspace.

Responsibilities include selecting tools, measuring parts with precision tools, and documenting data. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and collaboration with engineering and production teams for process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of lathe experience (CNC preferred; plastic machining a plus).
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.
• Strong understanding of machining quality standards and shop safety.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to ~50 lbs.

Overview

This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce precision-machined plastic components. You’ll work with engineering plastics, interpret technical drawings, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards in a safe, organized environment.

Key Responsibilities

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
