Job summary

Hillman Group in Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist to support manufacturing efficiency and product quality through machine setup, operation, and routine adjustments.

You will interpret work instructions and drawings, perform first-piece and in-process inspections, maintain documentation, and assist in training entry-level technicians to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, production, metalworking, or industrial experience.
• Experience performing machine setups and adjustments preferred.
• Ability to read basic technical documentation and drawings.
• Strong attention to quality and detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines including basic tooling installation and offset adjustments.
• Perform part changeovers and verify machine readiness for production.
• Operate equipment to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Interpret work instructions, job travelers, and basic technical drawings.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools.
• Adjust machine parameters within defined limits to maintain tolerances.
• Identify and troubleshoot routine machining and quality issues.
• Monitor tool wear and perform replacements as necessary.
• Maintain documentation of production, scrap, and downtime.
• Ensure consistent part quality for downstream processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality.
• Assist in training entry-level technicians.
• Maintain work area organization and equipment cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
