Job summary

Midwest Prototyping, A Prototek Company is seeking a CNC Operations Manager in Menomonie, WI to lead our machining team and enhance operational efficiencies. The role is primarily onsite and offers a salary range of $75k to $95k.

As the CNC Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, develop your team, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in CNC machining and manufacturing management.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of manufacturing or production management experience.
• 5+ years of CNC machining and/or programming experience (3-axis, 5-axis, and lathe).
• Strong knowledge of high-tolerance machining and GD&T.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced machining or job shop environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (MIE Trak preferred) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day CNC operations across 3-axis, 5-axis, and lathe machining.
• Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and machinists.
• Own production schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with leadership to optimize workflow, staffing, and performance.
• Build a strong safety-first culture on the shop floor.
