Job summary

Northern Gear & Machining in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced CNC Nakamura Machinist for twin-spindle, multi-turret machines. We have 1st shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm) and 2nd shift (3:30 pm–12:00 am), Monday–Friday, with pay of $21–$25 per hour and a $2 shift premium for 2nd shift.

The role requires blueprint gauging, tooling changes, multi-machine operation, troubleshooting, and strict adherence to ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as CNC machinist.
• Proficient with gauging and reading blueprints.
• Able to change tooling and inserts.
• Operate multiple machines with high productivity.
• Strong troubleshooting and process-reading ability.
• Read and follow processes; understand frequencies.
• Work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Ensure product meets ISO standards.
• Good communication, math and reading skills.
• Dependable with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate Twin Spindle - Multi-Turret Nakamura CNC machines.
• Set up and change tooling/inserts as required.
• Gauge parts and interpret blueprints to ensure tolerances.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize throughput.
• Follow processes and ISO standards; maintain quality.

Job description

Northern Gear & Machining is seeking an experienced CNC Nakamura Machinist. This is for Twin Spindle - Multi‑Turret CNC Machines. We are looking to fill spots for 1st shift and for 2nd shift.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Proficient with gauging and understanding blueprints.
• Ability to change tooling and inserts.
• Be proficient operating multiple machines, high productivity.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to read and understand frequencies and follow processes.
• Ability to understand and be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Be accountable and responsible for product going to customer, meeting all ISO standards.
• Good communication skills.
• Have good math and reading skills.
• Dependable and have transportation.

Qualifications:
