Job summary

Noble-X, Inc. is seeking a weekend CNC Machinist specializing in large horizontal mills. The weekend shift runs Fri-Sun on three 12-hour shifts, with an additional 4 hours weekly to reach 40 hours.

The role focuses on precision, efficiency, and maintaining high-quality parts within a clean, safe environment. You will set up and operate CNC machines, read blueprints, edit G-code, and program CAD/CAM software.

Qualifications

  • Previous CNC Machinist experience or similar role.
  • Strong experience editing G and M code and understanding machine controls.
  • Proficiency programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software.
  • Solid machining techniques and processes knowledge.
  • Familiarity with calipers and micrometers for measurement.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines per specifications.
  • Read and interpret customer blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Monitor operations to ensure parts meet standards.
  • In-process inspection of parts and finished products.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines.
  • Collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot and adjust.
  • Follow safety guidelines and keep the workspace clean.

Job description

Noble-X, Inc is seeking a weekend CNC machinist with a primary focus on large horizontal mills for our growing companies. Our weekend shift operates on three 12 hour shifts Fri-Sun, with an extra 4 hours added to each week to achieve 40 hours. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components. This is a critical role in our manufacturing process, ensuring precision and efficiency in our production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications
  • Read and interpret customer supplied blueprints, technical drawings, and internal work orders and job processing travelers
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and ensure parts adhere to company's standards and exceed customer expectations
  • In-Process inspection of parts as well as finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Experience
  • Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
  • Strong experience in editing G and M code as well as understanding machine controls.
  • Proficiency in programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
  • Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with power tools, hand tools, and other equipment used in machining operations
