Job summary

Valley Nut & Bolt is seeking a CNC Machinist for our Production department in Olympia, WA. This full-time, non-exempt position runs 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with pay DOE and 100% medical insurance.

Responsibilities include setting up and running CNC milling centers, interpreting drawings and specs, and using handheld inspection tools to ensure precision. Candidates should have a mid to journeyman level machining background and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Mid thru Journeyman level machinist.
• Setup and run CNC milling centers.
• 3-axis Manual/CNC setup, speeds & feeds.
• Interpret drawings and specs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: CNC Machinist – Non-exempt

DEPARTMENT: Production

Location:10111 Tilley Road South Olympia, WA 98512

Hours: Full-time (7:30AM to 4:00PM, Monday thru Friday)

Pay: DOE (Typical $30+) 100% paid medical insurance

Required Qualifications

• Mid thru Journeyman level machinist
• Setup and run CNC milling centers
• 3-axis Manual/CNC setup, speeds & feeds
• Proficient with use of handheld inspection devices including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gage blocks
• Accurately be able to interpret drawings & specs
• Must have reliable transportation to be at work on time daily

Desired Qualifications

• Basic CNC Programming, FANUC controller experience
• Production environment experience
• G-code – editing in production environment

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift forty pounds without assistance on occasions
• Must be able to sit, stand, and move around continuously for up to 8 hrs./day
