Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a CNC Machinist at all levels for the 3rd shift in the Salt Lake City area. This full-time manual labor role involves operating and setting up CNC equipment to manufacture precision components for space and defense applications.

You will work from engineering drawings, perform in-process inspections, and maintain quality, productivity, and an organized shop. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $48.00 per hour, with levels I–IV based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow engineering specifications and drawings.
• Ability to inspect machined components for dimensional accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components per specs.
• Set up CNC machines, tooling, and workholding.
• Load/unload raw materials and support related shop activities.
• Read engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform in-process inspections and verify dimensions.
• Maintain CNC equipment and keep work area clean.
