Job summary

EVAPCO, Inc. is seeking a Small Parts CNC Machinist for 2nd shift to fabricate parts for evaporator and eco-Air product lines. Use drawings to ensure exact dimensions and tolerances; provide technician support for the department.

Responsibilities include planning tooling, setting up machines, selecting tooling per project, loading materials, and performing quality checks to meet specifications. Experience with CNC systems (Okuma or Haas) is preferred; high precision tools required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of experience in a machining environment.
• Vocational training or machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• Basic understanding of metals and material properties.
• Read a tape measure and caliper to within 1/32".
• Basic nomenclature and practical use of hand tools is required.
• Experience programming CNC equipment and tooling.
• Reading production specs, drawings, and BOMs is required.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and parts to understand fabrication and tolerance requirements.
• Plan machine, fixturing, and tooling sequence to achieve desired output.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs for lathe and mill and set speeds/feeds.
• Select and specify tooling on a per-project basis.
• Set up and change tooling as required.
• Identify and load materials per requirements.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Perform daily maintenance on machines and maintain clean work area.
