Brasstech is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Setup to set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and manual machines in a production-paced environment.
You will work from blueprints, job routings and tooling instructions, transfer programs to CNC machines, inspect parts, and document measurements. The role also involves maintaining setup procedures and mentoring machinists, with the ability to run multiple machines when cycle times allow.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will have occasional bending, squatting, climbing, and twisting. There will be occasional usage of his/her hands to power grasp and manipulate objects, tools or controls, and occasional pushing, pulling and reaching above the shoulders. The position requires frequent walking and standing, as well as repetitive usage of hands for simple grasping, fine manipulation, and reaching below shoulder level. Additionally, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift up to 35 pounds with or without assistance. Required to wear PPE (ie. Face, foot, eye, hand, and/or hearing protection on plant floor).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in warehouse environment; and will be exposed to machine shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, cold and heat on frequent basis. The ambient conditions are moderate, and the noise level in the work environment is moderate.
