Job summary

GE Vernova in Wilmington, NC is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to perform a wide range of manufacturing operations in largely self-directed roles, including setting up NC and conventional machines, running multiple machines, and following work station instructions to ensure quality parts. You will visually inspect parts, maintain records, and act as a process change agent when needed.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings and change notices, machining metals, using precise measuring

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of manufacturing experience in CNC set-up and operations or a 2-year machinist program including CNC.
• Two+ years with basic measuring instruments and understanding of TIR/FIM.
• Experience operating machining equipment (saws, drills, punches, CNCs, mills, lathes).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional or CNC machine tools with high skill.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CNC change notices.
• Machining of metals and accurate measurement with micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges.
• Maintain records and logbooks; ensure quality parts within tolerances.
• Train operators on equipment as needed and follow tool call-outs on sheets.
