Job summary

GAST Manufacturing, a unit of IDEX Corporation, invites qualified machinists to join a team dedicated to precision and quality in a high-volume cell. You will set up and operate CNC machines, load materials, and run full cycles to meet production goals.

Using blueprints and precision gauges, you’ll verify parts, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with teammates to maintain safe, efficient operations and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience operating CNC machines.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or training program preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining in cell by studying work orders, blueprints, set up sheets to ensure quality production.
• Sets up and operates various machines as rotation takes place within a work cell.
• Translates instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepares and loads raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Sets machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
• Supervises the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• Inspects and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
