Job summary

Weir Minerals is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate and program a variety of machines in a 2nd shift on site in Florida. You will read blueprints, set up lathes and milling centers, and produce precision parts such as volutes, shells and impellers.

You’ll join a team focused on safety, quality and efficiency, with overtime opportunities and a fixed afternoon shift. A high school diploma or GED is required and experience with Fanuc controls is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years of manual CNC machining experience.
• Experience in die sharpening and tool changeovers.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up drill press, engine lathe, turret lathe, CNC lathe and machining centers to produce precision parts.
• Prove setups, produce pilot parts, diagnose issues and adjust to maintain high quality and efficiency.
• Read blueprints and specifications; perform minor CNC edits and process improvements.
• Manage multi‑tooling with tight tolerances; experience with assembly or casting is a plus.
• Maintain die and tool changeovers and keep machines running smoothly.
• Demonstrate a strong safety culture and keep work areas clean and organized.
