Pro Staff in Auburn, MA is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a direct hire. The role offers a salary of $75,000–$80,000 annually and involves setting up and operating CNC and manual milling/turning machines to tight tolerances in a high‑quality production environment.

You will troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs, read blueprints, and inspect parts with precision tools while maintaining a safe, organized workspace and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school training preferred.
• 10+ years of CNC and manual machining experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
• Advanced understanding of machining practices, shop mathematics, tooling, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual milling and turning machines.
• Edit, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs, including G-Code and M-Code programming.
• Machine components to blueprint specifications and tight tolerances.
• Perform milling, turning, drilling, threading, reaming, facing, deburring, and assembly operations.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
• Ensure product quality, accuracy, and compliance with manufacturing standards.
