McElroy Manufacturing's Fulton Facility is seeking a mid-level CNC Machinist to join a busy, highly skilled team. You will set up, operate and maintain multi-axis CNC machines on high-precision parts used in fusion and fintube systems.

This is a shift role with opportunities for growth in a climate-controlled, safety-focused environment. The role requires reading blueprints and GD&T, loading fixtures and tools, and solving problems in real time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain multi-axis CNC machines with minimal supervision.
• Load and secure parts, fixtures, and tools accurately on machines.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T specs, and machining instructions.
• Perform machine setups including loading fixtures/tools, setting coordinates, and tool offsets.
• Size in first article using measurement tools to verify tolerances.
• Identify materials and troubleshoot operational and programming issues in real time.
• Own the work center by maintaining quality, speed, and organization.

Job description

We are seeking amid-level CNC Machinistto join our busy and highly skilled team at our Fulton Facility, where we produce components for our fusion and fintube machines. This isn’t your average machine shop job—our machinists work on complex, high-precision parts using some of the most advanced equipment in the industry.

Machines You'll Work On

• Haas VF5 vertical mill, 2 pallet system,( low to mid level), 3 rd shift Haas ST35 and ST45 lathes, 2 nd or 3 rd shift

What You’ll Do

• Set up, operate, and maintain multi-axis CNC machines with minimal supervision.
• Load and secure parts, fixtures, and tools accurately on machines.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T specs, and machining instructions.
• Perform machine setups, including:
  • Loading fixtures and tools
  • Selecting and loading the correct program
  • Setting work coordinates and tool offsets
  • Sizing in first article using measurement tools
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators to ensure parts meet strict specifications.
• Identify and select correct materials for each job.
• Troubleshoot operational and programming issues in real-time.
• Own your work center—maintaining high quality, speed, and organization.

Physical Requirements

Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures.

Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
